TTC Build Off - Interior Goodies.

Welcome back folks. I got some more work in today on the body. I am really liking how it is starting to come together. My first task was to tackle the floor. After experimenting with several materials I went with a plastic plaque that was misprinted for one of our summer events.  Not only is it the perfect thickness and nearly the perfect size, but the image is awesome as well.

The view from the bottom. I am still undecided if I will paint the plaque or not. I kind of really like it there.

After getting the floor in I moved on to the transmission and driveshaft tunnels. I stacked up a bunch of wood and carved out a pretty nice transmission tunnel. Then I added in a driveshaft tunnel.   Follow along in the pics to see the process unfold.

After making these I moved on to the dash. First I started with a flat piece of wood then I added some goodies. I also took a few minutes and made the main center gauge. I didn’t make all the other little details as those will be easily added after the dash is painted.

I built the glovebox to look like it was hanging open like in the real truck. I will have to make a bungee too.

The white rectangle will be for the radio after I find and image to stick on it.

That was it for last night.
